I just found your blog, and missed out on the giveaway. But I can still be impacted by the song. Just the title alone, Jesus, friend of sinners, is enough to stand out. While we were sinners, Christ died for us. Not just for us, but for EVERY person. The addict dying on the street. The executive cheating on his wife. The teenager ditching school. Whatever their sin, Jesus is their friend. If their status is good enough for Jesus to be their friend, and we are called to be Christ-like, then isn’t part of being Christ-like finding a common ground to connect with those who Jesus is a friend to?
