Lessons from New York Part 1 – Finding peace

April 16, 2008 — 2 Comments

On my last day in New York I had the opportunity to go to Central Park. What an amazing experience! After being in the city with all the noise, distractions and busyness it was a nice relief to be in the peacefulness of the park. I found the contrast incredible. Even though I was inside the peacefulness of the park, the sights of the city were still there. It reminded me a lot of the Christian life. Life can be so busy, noisy and distracting BUT in the midst of this I can still have peace in my relationship with Christ. I will always be reminded of Central Park when I find myself feeling out of control. I can have peace and that peace is found in Christ!

  1. Excellent images. I enjoyed my tour of New York and Manhattan in 2002, and plus I saw the Yankees play Arizona in the Bronx.

    Cheers, Kevin.

  2. Hey Russ, thanks for stopping by again! New York was awesome – it was definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. I didn’t have a desire to see a baseball game while I was there BUT it almost killed me to be at Madison Square Garden during the playoffs and to not be able to watch the Rangers and Devils play! :)
