A refreshing and relaxing week in Southern California

Southern California

Last Wednesday we headed off to Southern California for a conference in Santa Barbara and to spend a few days with family in Irvine.  It was a fabulous week!

The conference was awesome.  We went to the “Knowing Christ” conference with Dallas Willard and John Ortberg.  It was very practical and I have lots of takeaways to ponder when I get home. During a couple of our breaks we were able to do a little exploring in Santa Barbara.  We went to the Old Mission Santa Barbara and Stearns Wharf.

We also had a wonderful time visiting family in Irvine.  It was a lot of fun spending time with our niece who is 2.5 years old.  The last time we saw her was 2 years ago.  A highlight was spending the day at Disneyland.  We also were able to visit some friends in Redlands and do some exploring there.

It was truly a refreshing and relaxing week!

Have you ever been to Southern California? What did you do while you were there?

  1. We live in Southern California but wanted a local long-weekend getaway and after looking at the pasadena Courtyard Marriot and the Westin, chose the Westin, and am very glad we did. We booked early and got a very good AAA rate. Staff was very helpful and friendly at all levels

  2. Hello Kevin,
