Last night I started watching the new season of “The Biggest Loser“. For those who don’t know, this is a reality TV show about people who want to lose weight. As I watching last night, I was very compelled to do something about my weight. Four years ago I had made the decision to lose some extra weight and I did. I lost 50 pounds! Unfortunately 4 years later I have gained it all back and most of it came back this past year. As a result of gaining back the weight I feel terrible all the time. I believe my blood pressure issues are definitely related to my weight gain. My back aches all the time and my energy levels are very low. I NEED to lose the extra pounds again!!
So, starting today I am committing myself to losing the weight. I know what I need to do because I have done it before. I need to cut down on my eating and I need to get more active. I am not a big New Year’s resolution type of guy but this year I am resolving to losing the weight. I know the benefits of being healthy and I want to enjoy them again. I want my children to have a positive example of a healthy lifestyle. I want to honour God by taking care of the body that He gave me!
Anyone out there want to join me in resolving to lose weight?

Remember it takes 3 days to break a habit and 30 days to conquer a habit so don’t give in, you can do it. You will probably find that just cutting back on the amounts and eliminating the bad stuff like coke and junk food will give you surprising results. Is Lauren joining you? They say if a husband and wife diet together there is much better results. You both proved that 4 years ago. Don’t call this a diet but a life change then it won’t sound so ominous. I will be praying daily for you both to have strong will power and determination.
Love you both!
Mom
Congratulations!! That is a good start. See you can do it.
Go for it. I am on the same path and seems like I followed the one you travelled too. I lost 40 pounds and then gained it back too. Stinks. So I am after the ground I lost.
Thanks for stopping by Eric! How is your “journey” going? I blew it the last couple of days.
I now need to get back on track.
